mate, excellent tutorial. being from sydney anything and everything larp cost an arm and a leg, and the best thing to do is a simple DIY.. both myself and a small group of friends are looking into starting LARP in sydney and with your permission, would like to use your video links as tutorials for players...
Tutorial is great, very helpful on explaining the does and donts. Looking at makeing a Naginata 6'4" ft long using 2x fiberglass rods as in your tutorial as this will help reduce the overall thickness makeing it that slightly more realistic.
